Peter Aerts a Dutch super heavyweight kickboxer. Known for his devastating high kicks, which earned him the nickname "The Dutch Lumberjack", he is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight kickboxers ever, along with Remy Bonjasky, Andy Hug, Ernesto Hoost and Semmy Schilt. Born in Eindhoven, Netherlands, Aerts began training in Muay Thai and kickboxing at the age of fourteen. He won his first world title when he was nineteen years old in 1990, taking the International Kick Boxing Federation's Heavyweight Championship. He would also add the Dutch heavyweight title the World Muay Thai Association's heavyweight title to his mantlepiece before going on to compete in the K-1 organization in Japan. He has competed in every K-1 World Grand Prix except one (2009), which has led to him being referred to as "Mr. K-1".

Ronda Jean Rousey is an American mixed martial artist and judoka. She is the first and current UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion,as well as the last Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She has defeated all of her opponents by armbar in the first round. Rousey became the first American woman to earn an Olympic medal in Judo at the Summer Olympics in Beijing in 2008. 
A 98 minute documentary by filmmaker Robert Goodman follows Rickson Gracie and 2 other fighters as they prepare and fight in Tokyo's Vale Tudo 1995, an early MMA event. Choke includes the matches that culminated in the world-wide Vale Tudo Fighting Championship. Some of the fighters making appearances are Todd Hayes, Koichiro Kimura, and Rickson Gracie, who is considered by many to be the best jiu-jitsu artist in the world.
